Music speaks to our emotional body. As such it needs to be able to represent an incredible variety of emotions. The Greeks were very much aware of this and used what we call the modes to express that variety. The Greeks had seven modes. Throughout the centuries and the rise of the church the uses of those modes changed to reflect only two of the them Lydian and Hypodorian (Greek names). How do you guys have the will to keep living after experiencing the love/oneness of the universe? After my awakening, my world has become so vast. I feel that living within societies boundaries is like cutting off large pieces of myself to tuck away for fear of judgement. This life is so shallow..so oppressed. To be forced to work every day just to have food and shelter. To have only 3 hours each night with my other half, with my future children. It pains me deeply. Hello everyone over the last few months I have been having flashes of the past while I am awake, it happens at random times whether I am home or at work or traveling in my car. These flashes are brief but very intense and detailed and I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them as they seem to come out of nowhere. Thanks KAF

I had tried salvia twice but I wasn't spiritual at all at the time. I didn't even believe in God or souls. As soon as i breathed out the smoke, my vision went black. I got a simple cold last week. While I was lying in bed I had this inner voice (as if talking to myself) ask in the voice of someone I care about if she could come in. I "said" yes first and then continued with "if you are really that person". But that second part seems to have been ignored. I don't know if there's a technique or teaching from the Maker tradition that can address this but i figure i may as well ask. I learn so much throughout some of my days. Then i go to sleep and i wake up and it's like a total reset. It feels like i've forgotten everything. I usually wake up like... ugh... i don't want to face the day. So it's hard to start my day off on the right foot. Any techniques or advice to deal with this?

Hello, I'm new here. I've been on an initiation path for a long time and looking to learn more. Today I had a vision during meditation and met my power animal for the first time, Crow. My question is, Crow picked up a white pebble and put it in my mouth so I would swallow it. I've tried to find out what it might mean, but I have no idea. First he swallowed the pebble and it passed through him, then he fed it to me. I was wondering what the significance was. If someone has an idea, I'd appreciate it.

I have asked out sources, with little to no avail, so I figured I would ask here. A few weeks back now, I was asked to purify someone's house. During the ritual I was burning sage and moving the smoke about the area. Almost immediately, there where complaints from another of the household about the smell of burning metal. Which was an legitamet complaint. At this point, I was finished the job, I used tobacco, sage, cedar and sweet grass, in a clay pot with the bottom lined with quartz. Hello there, I'm new to this site and not quite sure what I'm doing. Anyhow, I'm currently studying Shamanism at open alternative college. I'm on lesson three in my course and I've a few questions I wanted to ask from someone who is knowledgeable in Shamanism. So lesson three talks about Shamans communicating with spirits and may even marry an entity from others planes. Hi, i journeyed once or twice 14 years ago, met a power animal but not much came of it as got distracted by tai chi etc. ive done level two Usui Reiki, ive had a very rough last 4 years suffering two major breakdowns and given a diagnosis of autism. I have been fortunate enough in this lifetime to get some really clear and good guidance from guides, not super regularly but often enough. However, my guides seldom to never make their identity clearly known. It always just feels like a message from on high.
