Or, you can continue through the entire process and learn a full-fledged shamanic tradition that culminates in learning how to heal others. CaveShamans classes can make a difference in your life, we hope they will help you find the growth and learning you are seeking. Our classes are different, perhaps not like anything you have experienced before, but the changes are real and lasting, created and owned by you alone.

What You'll Learn?

The practices of the Maker tradition, a western European/Appalachian shamanic tradition. ss principles while developing leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Key areas of focus include:

  • The practices are from a formally strictly oral family lineage with roots in Appalachia and western Europe. 
  • As with most shamanic traditions, training starts with self-healing practices. Focus will be on understanding yourself and your past and recovering energy tied up in and healing your past. This is a point that many people move on once they reach it, it is what they came for.
  • The training is divided into tiers. The first tier is about self-healing. The second tier is about working with practices in the world. The third tier are practices for working outside the normal world. The fourth tier is master level practices and the fifth tier is learning the Maker Healing Method.
  • There is are no prescribed steps or expectations on how students complete their paths. They are given a set of tools to forge their own paths. This is very freeing but also very challenging to complete.

Why go through the training?

Most students feel some sort of calling guiding them to take the classes. It usually breaks down into one of three drives:

  • A calling to heal themselves and their past to bring peace and health to themselves.
  • A calling to heal others or humanity or the earth, in general and make the world a better place. 
  • A calling where they feel driven to acquire knowledge and a need to 'know' how the universe and life 'works.'

You don't need to know which calling you have in order to start taking classes. It will become clear as you progress through your self-healing. 

Class Structure

The classes are roughly structured around a seven to eight week class session. Students will meet remotely through chat with their teacher each week at the same time. Each class is broken down into roughly 30 min. sections:

  1. First 30 minutes: Checking in with other students, discussion of how the exercise provided the previous week went. Sharing of experiences and any challenges. Questions answered on technique or anything related. (If there are no questions, class time will be shortened.
  2. Second 30 minutes: Class material exposition given by the teacher with pauses for any questions. Each week, new material will be given, expanding on the previous week's material. 
  3. Third 30 minutes: The new exercise for the week will be given with extra time added for any questions on procedures or steps. This is also the time that questions not specifically related to class material can be answered.
  4. During the week, students have access to a student forum where they can ask questions, share experiences and also where the teacher can share any information needed. Teachers can also be private messaged if there is a message of a personal nature.

Class Fee

Class fees are $85 for either 7 or 8 week classes, live or self-study.

Payment Options

  • Payment can be made through the shop which links to PayPal. PayPal is the only payment method at this time.

Scholarships

We don't offer any scholarships perse but we can break class fees into separate payments if it is needed. 

Additional Costs

  • Occasionally, some classes will require purchasing some supplies to work with but there are usually no additional course fees for the classes.
  • Students will need a computer/phone or some way to access the classroom through the web.
